This exciting project exists to develop young people's skills in theatre. The Plymouth Youth Theatre is open to young people aged from 4 to 18 years.
Formed in January 2004, the members of this highly successful part of Plymouth Theatre Company have performed in the main company productions of Simply Christmas, Half a Sixpence, Wind in the Willows, The Music Man, Its Christmas and Annie at the Playhouse. They have also presented their own successful productions and a list of these can be found on the past productions page.

Katy O'Brien - Director/Choreographer
Katy began her professional career in Annie at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London. Her credits include; Just so, Sweeney Todd, Oliver! The Diary of Anne Frank, Hello Dolly and Guys and Dolls, not to mention her television credits. She has appeared in all of the Music of The Night productions at the Royal Citadel since 1992, and has taken the lead in many of the Plymouth Theatre Company productions both at the Theatre Royal and at the Devonport Playhouse.
A very accomplished singer, dancer and actor, Katy has recently developed her skills to direct the Plymouth Youth Theatre.
